What is an Electrical Planning Report?
Effective December 17th 2024, all strata corporations in British Columbia with five or more strata lots are required to obtain an Electrical Planning Report (EPR) to address growing electrical demands.
This report must include:

An assessment of the current capacity of the strata’s electrical system

A detailed list of existing electrical demands

An estimate of peak electrical demand and available spare capacity

Projections for future electrical needs, including those for electric vehicle (EV) charging and heat pumps

Strategic recommendations for demand management, such as reducing load by upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting
